Food lovers across Redcar & Cleveland are gearing up for Saltburn’s first ever food festival.
Some 40 market stalls, boasting a variety of home-grown delicacies, will form the heart of the festival on Saturday 28th June.
It is being organised by Food First – a new social enterprise aimed at promoting the benefits of locally-grown food.
The group, which is run by almost 20 retailers and producers from Redcar & Cleveland and North Yorkshire, has received support for the festival from Redcar & Cleveland’s Enterprise Team.
The family-friendly day will feature a Celebrity Chef Kitchen where a seasoned professional will be demonstrating a variety of delicious recipes and cooking techniques. You can also join in on masterclasses that will be running throughout the day.
Visitors who are as interested in talking about food as eating it can join in a range of food-related debates in the Talking Shop.
There will also be a number of attractions for children, including a dedicated Story Tent where a host of storytellers will bring tales to life.
The Food Festival is being sponsored by Northern Rail and the Real Meals Delicatessen. For more information about Food First events, including the Saltburn Food Festival, visit www.foodfirstsaltburn.co.uk
